Town and Country Veterinary Clinic strives to give back to the community through various outreach activities. With our centralized location, we are convenient to families in the New River Valley and many surrounding areas. Listed below are some of the ways we support our community.
Kitten Adoption Program
Having adopted out 160+ kittens in 2015, this program is a vital part of assisting in decreasing stray/feral cats and finding new kittens their forever homes. When you adopt a kitten or adult cat from TCVC, you are saving a life that might not have had the opportunity without your kindness.
Kitten and occasional adult cat intake occurs throughout the year. All of our stray kittens and cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV or Feline AIDS) prior to adoption. All of the kittens are current on vaccinations, dewormings, and many are spayed or neutered if age appropriate. We require an adoption fee and an agreement to continue the vaccinations and to have the pet spayed/neutered by the age of 9 months.
Interested in learning more about kitten adoption? Please contact Lisa, our Kitten Adoption Coordinator, for more information or if you have any kittens that you would like to be accepted into our program. Certain requirements and restrictions do apply.

Montgomery County K9 Units
Working and service canines assist in keeping our community safe, detecting narcotics and explosives, and criminal capture.
We believe optimal veterinary care is of most importance for these dedicated canines. That’s why at no cost, we offer thorough yearly physical examinations, vaccinations, and routine bloodwork to keep them fit! Through veterinary education, we engage handlers and make them aware of medical ailments that can occur in this line of duty.
Bi-Annual Client Appreciation Day
To show our gratitude towards our client loyalty, twice a year we invite both our current clients and any prospective new clients to join us in celebration! Free nail trims, grooming consultations, vendor giveaways, and food are just a few of the awesome things we offer! Have any questions, comments, or concerns? Email tcvcamandaw@yahoo.com
MCFACC
Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care and Control is a local animal shelter that has dramatically decreased the once high euthanasia rates by actively rehoming abandoned, surrendered, and stray animals. To assist in providing veterinary care to patients in need, Town and Country Veterinary Clinic offers reasonably cost general veterinary services. Our mission is to ensure adequate health prior to the adoption process through MCFACC.
The Veterinary Care Foundation
The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable foundation created for the specific purpose of helping veterinary practices fund the discounted and no charge care they generously provide to hardship cases.
Unlike other veterinary charities, 100% of every contribution to the Veterinary Care Foundation and its member practices go directly to improving the quality of life of pets and their people.
It’s easy for our clients to donate either by check in our office (made payable to Veterinary Care Foundation) or online HERE.
And all donations are tax-deductible!
Military War Dogs
Our active military canines are an important part of our armed forces and have been for several decades. These highly trained pups assist our soldiers in war zones as trackers or sentries, in search and rescue, explosive detection, and are on the front of enemy lines. Town and Country Veterinary Clinic would like to assist these soldiers by sending care packages overseas.
