Town and Country Veterinary Clinic is the only small animal hospital in the New River and Roanoke Valleys that offers the convenience of 24 hour pet care and services. We have a licensed veterinarian on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide quality veterinary care for your pet. Our goal is to provide the care and facilities necessary to make sure that the pets entrusted to us live a long and healthy life, as pain free and as comfortably as possible.

We are a full service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our clients. You and your pet are the reason that Town and Country Veterinary Clinic exists. We are equipped with diagnostic radiology (digital x-rays), an in-house diagnostic laboratory, laser surgery, ultrasound machines, full dental services, computerized records system, and a 24 hour ICU.

Being a large group practice gives us many advantages. Many of our veterinarians have received additional training in areas of special interests. As a result, we have doctors available to perform ultrasound including echocardiograms, thoracic surgery, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, reproductive medicine, and behavioral consulting. A group practice also means we have built in consultants; often multiple doctors will be thinking about and working on your pet's case. When needed, we also consult with local and abroad specialists in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, and dermatology.

Our abilities and equipment combined with our staff and a positive working environment, give you and your pet a superior veterinary experience.

Please call for an appointment. We are open for scheduled appointments 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Emergencies are handled 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Town & Country Veterinary Clinic is open seven days a week and has a convenient schedule to accommodate pet owners traveling to and from work.

Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (24/7 Emergency)
Sunday: Emergency Only

We know, as pet owners ourselves, that our clients and their owners need the best veterinary care possible, regardless of the time of day. While most veterinary needs, including shots, spays, and grooming, will still be handled during our daytime hours, we also know that medical emergencies do not just occur during "normal" operating hours. Whether it is the middle of the night, early morning, late evening, or during our "normal hours," we are here to help. To save customers time, the forms we typically have new clients and returning clients fill out are available on this website. All of the forms are available as editable pdf files, so they can be filled out at home rather than at the clinic.

Discounts

We support rescue organizations by giving discounts where applicable. We support the community by offering a discount to rescue organizations, senior citizens and VA Tech and Radford University students.

Location

We are conveniently located at 1605 N. Franklin Street (at the intersection of Franklin and Cambria Streets, behind the McDonalds) in Christiansburg, Virginia. If you are coming from Blacksburg or Interstate 81, take the downtown exit from 3B (new 460 bypass). The clinic is on the left, just past the light at Cambria and Franklin (first light). If you are coming from Christiansburg, drive north on Franklin Steet and turn right at the McDonalds (we are right across the street from the Christiansburg Recreation Center.
